The purpose of this class is to provide a basic skillset to properly maintain your bicycle. You will learn the various parts of a bicycle, parts of a wheel, how to replace a tube, adjust brakes, and tune your drivetrain. Please bring your own bicycle, replacement tubes (if needed), any tools you might already have (tire levers, multi-tool, floor pump, chain lube, hand towel, etc.) If you don’t have any, some tools will be provided. This course is designed to show you how to maintain your own bicycle. It assumes your bike is already in working order, though not necessarily in perfect condition. We will only be focusing on cable actuated components; no hydraulic or electronic parts; no disc brakes.
